Frequently Asked Questions

Will I get the same mechanic every time? Yes — always. Bikefix Mobile Perth is a one-man operation, which means every booking is with me. I get to know my customers and their bikes over time — your setup, your preferences, your history. Return customers never have to explain their bike from scratch or wonder about the standard of work. It's consistent every time.

Are you insured and qualified? Yes. Bikefix Mobile Perth holds public liability and indemnity insurance, is Auscycle accredited as a qualified road cycling instructor, Working With Children checked, and Senior First Aid certified. When choosing a mobile mechanic, it's worth confirming they carry proper insurance and hold relevant qualifications — not all operators do.

Where do you operate? From Hillarys in the north to Fremantle in the south, and east to Morley and Riverton. See the Service Areas page for the full suburb list.

Is there a minimum spend? Yes — $99 per residential appointment. This covers a Tune Up and approximately 30 minutes on site. Most full service packages are well above this.

What types of bikes do you service? Road and gravel bikes are my primary focus. MTB servicing also available. E-bike servicing available on request for compliant pedal-assist bikes only — Bosch, Shimano STEPS, or EN15194 certified bikes. Non-compliant or derestricted bikes cannot be serviced.

Do you service Di2 and AXS electronic groupsets? Yes — programming, calibration, cable routing, junction box configuration, and firmware updates for Shimano Di2 and SRAM AXS. Modern bikes need modern servicing.

How often should I get my bike serviced? A Full Service once a year is the recommended standard for road and gravel cyclists. An Essential Service makes a great mid-year top-up. An Overhaul is recommended every 2–3 years or after heavy use.

How long does a service take? Tune Up ~30 mins. Essential Service ~1 hour. Full Service ~1.5 hours. Overhaul ~2–2.5 hours. The Works ~3+ hours.

Do you offer group or club discounts? Yes — discounts apply for multiple bikes booked at the same location. Get in touch to discuss.

Do you provide corporate or event support? Yes to both. See the Corporate and Event Support pages for details.

What days and hours do you operate? Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm. Weekends by enquiry — weekend rate applies.
